Description

The dark web has been mythologized as a mysterious area full of shadowy places that provide access to products and services for the fraudster community. However, it also represents a significant opportunity for fraud fighters to gain critical intelligence about, and advantage over, their criminal nemeses. From a fraud prevention perspective, the primary relevance is the scale and variety of data available for purchase on the dark web, including exposed credentials, stolen session cookies/tokens, personal identifiable information, and financial information that can help immensely with identifying risky customers. Fraud analysts can further leverage the information to streamline digital experiences or proactively remediate exposed data by reissuing account numbers and forcing password changes. However, the sheer volume of exposed data requires a risk-based approach to remediation.

Join this session and learn how to leverage dark web data and hoist the fraudsters with their own petards.
