Faster payments have emerged country by country over the past two decades. This patchwork approach is the one that fraudsters would prefer payments authorities to take: It makes it easier to attack the various networks individually. In contrast, a unified approach to faster payments would leverage collective network intelligence and fraud mitigation technologies.  

Fraudsters are capitalizing on the promise of “faster payments, faster fraud” with industrialized account takeover and scam-based attack vectors. This panel session will explore the pain points associated with authorized and unauthorized real-time payments fraud and discuss the best practices that help curtail fraudsters’ exploitation of faster payments rails.
