In markets like the United States, which does not have a federated identity system, digital identity has different meanings. Unfortunately, some businesses still operate under the premise that a name, address, phone number, and email, possibly coupled with a username/password pair, sufficiently constitute a user’s online identity. Static data residing in a database is no longer sufficient to verify a user. In this session, we will discuss new approaches to a digital identity that address the myriad ways fraudsters impersonate a person online.
