Andy Collins has a 35-year banking background with experience ranging across retail enterprise strategies, regional management, product management and fraud operations.  Andy has directed the end-to-end product growth strategy on a $65B deposits portfolio, managed a country-wide network of overseas military banking facilities and effectively turned around a struggling fraud operation with over 400 employees.  Andy has spent over 17 years as a senior executive leader of some of the most admired brands in the country, and effectively managed profit and loss of product portfolios that have significantly contributed to the bottom line of these companies.  In his current role with Wells Fargo, he works in Fraud and Claims Management leading large strategic initiatives, managing relationships with large 3rd party suppliers and serves as the organizations industry intelligence leader.

Among his significant previous positions, Andy served as Head of Fraud Risk Operations and SunTrust Bank, an Atlanta based super-regional bank serving the eastern U.S.  Prior to that he was Deposits Line Executive for USAA Federal Savings Bank, which provides banking services to the US military and their families.  He also led the checking product start-up effort at Ally Bank, one of the country’s first direct banks, during its rebranding from GMAC Bank.  Prior to that, Andy spent much of his career at Bank of America, deploying enterprise-wide segmentation strategies, managing credit card portfolios and sales, and leading the Honshu Region of Japan with Bank of America’s Overseas Community Bank, stationed in Tokyo.  Any also worked on the front lines as a regional manager with Bank One, leading four full-service banking facilities in Denton, Texas.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University, graduating with honors.  

As the son of a career military father, Andy has lived in 7 states and 2 countries, and is originally from Omaha, Nebraska.  His wife of 35 years, Debbie, would tell you that he has a fully developed right brain that drives him to draw, paint, sing and to love music and golf.  Together they have three children and three grandchildren, most of whom also reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
